In-line installation

  • No additional space,
  • Very simple mechanical installation,
  • Ideal for sanitary environement,
  • No specific cleaning procedure,
  • Continuous production control.

EXAMPLE: Brewery Application

The Viscoline is located right after the Unitanks. It is used to separate yeast from beer after fermentation. With 0.1 cp of resolution, the Viscoline can detect as little as 0.25% of yeast in beer.

CVL

BENEFITS

  • Beer and yeast losses reduced,
  • Laboratory solid spin tests eliminated,
  • Filter plugs-up reduced,
  • Production downtime and energy costs reduced.

Control line installation

  • Down sized instrumentation compared to main process line,
  • Reference measurement, independant of process operating conditions.

EXAMPLE: Dilution

The Viscoline is installed on a control line at the exit of a process pump, returning to a storage tank. The opening of a check valve is controlled in order to keep a constant flow rate. The introduction of solvent at the entrance of the pump is regulated to maintain the viscosity reading to the target value.

CVL

BENEFITS

  • Viscosity measurement at one point of the process makes it possible to act upstream with a control dilution valve, in order to maintain final properties for the whole production within specifications,
  • Sampling no longer required,
  • Better management of transitions.

Mobile cart installation

  • Temporary needs,
  • Multipoint services,
  • Research and development.
